What is the difference between multipath flat and frequency selective fading?
Answer:
Flat Fading:-
1.Reduces SNR forcing various moderate techniques to handle that. Not such a bad thing
2.BW of Signal < BW of Channel.
3.Delay Spread < Symbol Period
4.the coherence bandwidth of the channel is larger than the bandwidth of the signal. Therefore, all frequency components of the signal will experience the same magnitude of fading.

Frequency selective fading:-
1.ISI Distortion (need equalizer in reciever),Pulse Mutilation,Irreducible BER
2.BW of Signal > BW of Channel
3.Delay Spread > Symbol Period
4.The coherence bandwidth of the channel is smaller than the bandwidth of the signal. Different frequency components of the signal therefore experience uncorrelated fading.
